Cup draw is the bees' knees

Jan 31 2006

CHARLTON take on yet another lower-league team in the next round of the FA Cup.

The Addicks have already knocked out Championship strugglers Sheffield Wednesday and League Two Leyton Orient in this year's competition.

And they bagged Martin Allen's League One Brentford in yesterday's fifth round draw. That match is set to take place at The Valley on the weekend of February 18.

Palace - if they win their fourth round replay against Preston at Selhurst Park next Tuesday - could face a home tie against the winners of Coventry and Middlesbrough, who also replay next Tuesday.

Palace would fancy their chances against Coventry - who they have done the league double over, as well as knocking them out of the Carling Cup.

But Premiership Boro knocked them out of the Carling Cup in November.
